Every now and then, I take a moment to thank you. Yes, you. I thank readers for taking the time to explore new characters, discover plot twists and following a favorite author. Reading lets our mind expand, learn new things and sometimes envelopes an entire country caught up in a blockbuster book. I was once a journalist and for a few years covered the school beat. I was part of thousands of hours of video coverage, yet one simple event stood out. A child, struggling to read, got extra help, after school, by a teacher showing the youngster how to maneuver through those sentences. Reading is so important at that age, getting through math story problems, history and other subjects. So,if you are reading to enjoy, I applaud you. Read on.
